Siemens Pakistan to Wind Down Motor Repairs Segment Amid Strategic Shift
Published: September 19, 2025
Siemens Pakistan has announced plans to discontinue its motor repairs business, identifying it as a non-core segment within its broader portfolio. The decision was approved by the company’s Board of Directors during a meeting held on September 18 in Karachi.
The move aligns with a global strategic realignment initiated by Siemens’ parent organization, aimed at streamlining operations and focusing on core competencies.
In its official statement, Siemens Pakistan emphasized that the closure will not materially affect its overall business performance. The company also clarified that, under Section 183(3) of the Companies Act, 2017, the motor repairs segment does not constitute an “undertaking” or a “sizeable part” of its operations.
This transition reflects Siemens’ continued commitment to innovation and operational efficiency across its key business areas.
