Artistic Milliners Acquires Cone Denim, Launches Global Denim Powerhouse
Published: September 19, 2025
Artistic Milliners, a leading denim manufacturer based in Pakistan, has acquired a majority stake in Cone Denim from Elevate Textiles, marking a major milestone in the global denim industry. The newly formed multinational entity will operate under the Cone Denim brand, with the transaction expected to finalize in Q1 2026.
While Artistic Milliners’ Pakistan operations will remain independent, Cone Denim will function as a standalone portfolio company. The merger will integrate select assets from both organizations, creating a robust international platform with manufacturing hubs across North America, Asia, and beyond.
The new Cone Denim will continue operations at its mills in Parras and Yecapixtla, Mexico, and Jiaxing, China. It will also incorporate Artistic Milliners’ garment facility in Parras and its Star Fades International laundry and development center in Los Angeles.
Murtaza Ahmed and Omer Ahmed of Artistic Milliners emphasized the strategic synergy: “Cone will retain its distinct identity while leveraging shared infrastructure and expertise. Our global footprint ensures speed, scale, and reliability.”
Steve Maggard, President of Cone Denim, will lead the new entity, reporting to a board comprising Omer Ahmed, Murtaza Ahmed, Jeffrey P. Pritchett, and other directors to be named.
Jeffrey P. Pritchett, CEO of Elevate Textiles, hailed the partnership as a union of two denim pioneers rooted in innovation, sustainability, and responsible manufacturing. He noted that the restructured Cone Denim will expand its reach, revive U.S. production, and explore new markets—including North Africa.
Customers of both brands can expect uninterrupted service and quality, with expanded offerings on the horizon.
