To mark a major milestone in Pakistan’s digital growth, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has announced a nationwide giveaway for mobile users. On June 20, 2025, all telecom subscribers will receive 2 GB of free internet and 200 on-net call minutes, valid for 24 hours. The offer can be activated by dialing *2200# from any mobile network.

This initiative celebrates Pakistan surpassing 200 million mobile subscribers, a significant achievement in the country’s connectivity journey. According to PTA’s latest figures, mobile subscriptions have reached 197.7 million, broadband users now total 150 million, and fixed-line connections stand at 3.75 million.

A special event is being held at PTA Headquarters in Islamabad to commemorate the occasion. Industry leaders, mobile operators, device manufacturers, and senior officials will gather to discuss the future of digital services in Pakistan.

As part of the celebration:

• Mobile operators will provide free voice and data bundles to users.
• Smartphone manufacturers will contribute mid-range devices for a lucky draw among attendees.

This initiative reflects PTA’s commitment to expanding digital access and recognizing the public’s role in achieving this milestone.
