Pakistan’s Exports to US Increase by 9.29% to $2.512 Billion in Five Months
In the period from July to November 2024-25, Pakistan’s exports to the United States saw a significant rise of 9.29%, reaching $2.512 billion, up from $2.299 billion during the same timeframe last year, according to data from the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
While exports to the US showed impressive growth, exports to China experienced a decline of 13.93%, falling to $1.053 billion. The United Kingdom remained Pakistan’s third-largest export market, with exports amounting to $935.018 million.
Positive growth in exports was also observed in markets such as the UAE, Germany, and the Netherlands. Conversely, exports to Italy and Spain saw slight decreases.
A notable development was the substantial increase in exports to Afghanistan, which surged to $406.674 million, indicating a robust demand for Pakistani goods in the Afghan market.
Overall, the data presents a mixed picture of Pakistan’s export performance during this period. While some markets, like the US, demonstrated strong growth, others such as China and certain European countries experienced a slowdown. This mixed performance suggests that while certain export sectors are flourishing, others may require additional focus to boost their growth.
