Motorcycle Sales Surge 42% YoY in August 2025, Driven by Rural Demand and Affordable Financing

Lahore, Sept 12, 2025 — Pakistan’s motorcycle and three-wheeler market posted a robust 42% year-on-year (YoY) growth in August 2025, with total sales reaching 148,063 units, according to data from PAMA. Month-on-month (MoM) sales also rose by 19%, signaling strong momentum in the two-wheeler segment.
For the first two months of FY26 (July–August), cumulative sales hit 273,000 units — a 44% YoY increase compared to the same period last year, as reported by Topline Securities.
Analysts attribute the surge to easing inflation, rising rural demand, and more accessible financing options for motorcycles versus cars. Two- and three-wheelers continue to serve as essential modes of transport in urban and semi-urban areas, supporting both daily commuting and commercial activity.
Despite earlier challenges from floods and inflationary pressures, industry experts expect sustained growth in FY26, fueled by affordability and the rising need for cost-effective mobility solutions.
