Islamabad to Welcome New Business Facilitation Center This Month

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif is set to inaugurate the Business Facilitation Center (BFC) in Islamabad this month to support businesses.

Sources informed ProPakistani that the Board of Investment (BoI) has signed a Service Level Agreement (SLA) with all federal government departments to streamline and facilitate business-related services for entrepreneurs and businesses in Pakistan.

In June 2024, the Prime Minister ordered the establishment of a Model Business Facilitation Center (BFC) in Islamabad. This center will connect multiple federal agencies through an automated system to submit, process, and issue Required Licenses, Certificates, and Other approvals (RLCOs) under one roof.

The BFC aims to:

  • Provide a unified platform to streamline the processing and delivery of RLCO services for businesses.

  • Offer a centralized hub where entrepreneurs can access multiple services efficiently.

  • Enhance inter-agency collaboration to ensure seamless service delivery.

  • Improve the ease of doing business by reducing delays.

  • Offer transparent and accountable service processes to foster trust among stakeholders.

Sources indicated that the Islamabad Business Facilitation Center will handle 341 RLCOs from 22 ministries and 41 departments. Each department will assign its experts to the Business Facilitation Center in Islamabad.
