Government Moves Forward with PakTok Enhancements for Overseas Pakistanis
The Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) is set to hold a pivotal meeting at the Prime Minister’s Office today, May 2, 2025, to review progress on the Pak-Emigrant Management Framework (PEMF) and the PakTok mobile application. The discussion will focus on improving digital connectivity between government agencies and expatriates while advancing the next phase of PEMF.
Representatives from the National Information Technology Board (NITB), Bureau of Emigration & Overseas Employment (BE&OE), and the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) will present technical documentation on the app’s programming interfaces. The council is also expected to finalize design amendments and address feedback from the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF).
Developed under the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development (MOPHRD), PakTok acts as a central platform for expatriates, offering services such as OPF membership registration, welfare assistance, financial aid for education, and streamlined complaint management. The app also provides vital updates on policies and initiatives, ensuring easier access to resources for Pakistani communities abroad.
