Balochistan Launches IT Training Drive to Empower Youth
In a bold move to equip the next generation with digital skills, the Balochistan government has rolled out a province-wide IT training initiative aimed at young men and women. Announced by Provincial Parliamentary Secretary for Social Welfare, Haji Wali Muhammad Noorzai, the program seeks to boost employability and foster a culture of innovation among youth.
Speaking at a community gathering of students, tribal elders, and political leaders, Noorzai emphasized the importance of education, technical skills, and moral development in shaping Balochistan’s future. He urged families, educators, and religious figures to unite in preparing young people for leadership and meaningful careers.
The Social Welfare Department, in collaboration with Saylani Welfare Trust, is spearheading the 10-month training program. More than 800 students will be trained in phases, with a special batch dedicated to differently-abled individuals to ensure inclusive access to digital education. The government is providing infrastructure support, including buildings, electricity, and learning spaces.
Noorzai credited Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti’s public-focused vision for the initiative, highlighting the government’s commitment to creating dignified job opportunities—especially in remote and online sectors. He expressed confidence that such programs will uplift communities and pave the way for a more prosperous Balochistan.
