Turn Bottles into Cash: Lahore’s New Green Recycling Program
In a major step toward sustainability, the Punjab government has partnered with a private firm under the Chief Minister’s Green Credits Program to launch an innovative plastic recycling initiative across Lahore.
Starting next month, locally manufactured recycling units, developed with the support of Chinese technology, will be installed in four major universities and several commercial areas throughout the city. These smart machines allow citizens to deposit used plastic bottles in exchange for instant cash rewards and eco-credits.
