Saudi Arabia Initiates Ramadan Iftar and Dates Distribution Program in Pakistan

Saudi Arabia has launched a special food aid initiative in Pakistan for Ramadan 2025, known as the King Salman bin Abdulaziz Iftar and Dates Distribution Program. This effort is designed to provide support to thousands of individuals in need during the holy month.

The program was officially inaugurated in Islamabad by Pakistan’s Religious Affairs Minister, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, along with Saudi Ambassador, Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malki. This initiative underscores the strong bonds of friendship and cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

As part of the program, 20 tons of dates will be distributed to 40,000 people, ensuring they have access to nutritious food during Ramadan. Additionally, Iftar meals will be provided to 30,000 individuals across the country, reaching as many deserving people as possible in various provinces.

The objective of this initiative extends beyond mere food distribution. It aims to foster kindness, generosity, and unity during the holy month, assisting families in observing their fasts without the burden of affording proper meals.

Saudi Arabia has a long-standing tradition of supporting Pakistan, especially in religious and humanitarian endeavors. This program continues that legacy, further strengthening the deep ties between the two nations.

Ramadan, being a time of compassion and sharing, is brought to life through initiatives like this that bring people together and emphasize the importance of helping others. Through this program, Saudi Arabia is making a significant impact on the lives of thousands of Pakistanis, ensuring they have enough food to break their fasts throughout the holy month.
