Rawalpindi to Launch Housing Scheme Verification Portal Under NAB Directive

In a move to safeguard public investment and promote transparency, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has instructed the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) to develop a digital portal enabling citizens to verify the legal status of housing schemes before committing funds.

The directive was issued during a high-level meeting held at the NAB Rawalpindi/Islamabad Conference Room, chaired by NAB Rawalpindi Director General Waqar Ahmad Chohan. The proposed portal will allow users to check the approval status of entire housing projects as well as individual plots within those developments.

DG NAB Waqar Ahmad Chohan emphasized the importance of public access to trustworthy housing data and called for collaboration between the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and RDA to ensure seamless integration of relevant records into the system.

A follow-up session is scheduled for next week to refine the portal’s technical and operational framework, paving the way for a more transparent and accountable real estate landscape.
