Petrol Prices in Pakistan Set to Decline Significantly

In light of recent fluctuations in global oil markets, Pakistan is expected to see a notable reduction in petroleum prices. Reports suggest that petrol prices may decrease by up to Rs. 8.27 per litre, while diesel prices could drop by Rs. 7 per litre. Similarly, kerosene oil and light diesel rates are projected to decline by Rs. 7.47 and Rs. 7.21 per litre, respectively.

This anticipated decrease marks a significant adjustment in the country's fuel costs, aligning with the worldwide trend of falling oil prices. During the previous revision last month, the government had made a modest Rs. 1 per litre reduction in petrol rates, bringing the cost down to Rs. 254.63 per litre. Diesel prices, however, remained unchanged at Rs. 258.64 per litre. Earlier, on March 15, petroleum prices had been maintained without any changes.

This new development is expected to bring relief to consumers amid fluctuating global energy markets. Keep an eye on updates as the government announces official changes in the coming days.
