Pakistan Launches First Maritime Investment Conference to Power Blue Economy Growth
In a landmark move to strengthen Pakistan’s maritime sector, Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry has announced the country’s first-ever Maritime Investment Conference 2025, aimed at unlocking the full potential of the blue economy.
Chairing a high-level meeting, the minister emphasized that the conference will spotlight both micro and macro investment opportunities for local and international stakeholders. From port development and marine transport to fisheries, shipbuilding, and coastal tourism, the event will serve as a strategic platform to position Pakistan as a regional hub for maritime innovation and investment.
“This is a significant milestone,” said Minister Chaudhry. “We’re creating a gateway for sustainable investments that will revitalize Pakistan’s maritime infrastructure and empower our coastal economy.”
Officials reviewed key details including the date, venue, and thematic focus, while also planning a comprehensive media and branding campaign to attract global investors, financial institutions, and development partners.
The minister also directed teams to finalize standardized templates for investment proposals and project submissions to streamline approvals and ensure transparency.
With strong public-private collaboration, the Maritime Investment Conference 2025 is set to become a cornerstone in Pakistan’s journey toward economic diversification, regional leadership, and sustainable blue growth.
