CDA Revokes Approval of Islamabad Gardens Housing Scheme Over Violations

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has officially withdrawn the Layout Plan (LOP) and No Objection Certificate (NOC) of the Islamabad Gardens Housing Scheme, located in Sector E-11. The cancellation was communicated through a formal notice issued to the Multi Professionals Co-operative Housing Society.

CDA stated that the decision followed years of warnings and correspondence dating back to 2011. Originally approved in 2005 for development over 811 kanals, the scheme was subject to strict planning and infrastructure conditions. However, repeated violations—including unauthorized land use, encroachments, and failure to build essential infrastructure—led to the revocation.

The authority also noted that the society continued to market and sell plots without proper verification, misleading buyers and violating CDA regulations. Despite multiple chances to comply, the developers failed to submit progress reports or rectify issues.

CDA has declared all future development and sales under the Islamabad Gardens name as illegal. Citizens are advised to avoid transactions with the society and verify housing projects directly through CDA’s official channels.

This move is part of CDA’s broader effort to enforce urban planning standards and take action against unauthorized housing schemes that compromise Islamabad’s master plan.
