UAE Emerges as World’s Most Economically Secure Nation

The United Arab Emirates has been ranked the world’s most economically stable country, according to the newly released World Security Report. The survey, conducted by Allied Universal and G4S, gathered insights from over 2,300 chief security officers across 31 countries — including 58 from the UAE and 232 from the broader Middle East.

Only 29% of UAE security leaders believe economic instability poses a significant threat in the coming year, compared to 41% regionally and 44% globally. Experts say this reflects the UAE’s reputation as a safe, resilient, and innovation-driven business hub.

Leading in AI-Powered Security
The report highlights the UAE’s rapid adoption of AI-based security technologies:

  • 59% of UAE security chiefs prioritize AI-enabled intrusion detection and perimeter control
  • 50% consider AI threat detection and risk assessment essential
  • 26% already use autonomous AI for crisis response — the highest rate in the region

Omar Dababneh, Managing Director of G4S UAE, noted that these advancements align with the UAE’s Centennial 2071 and National AI Strategy 2031, reinforcing its global competitiveness and readiness for emerging risks.

Lower Threats, Higher Investment
UAE security leaders report fewer concerns about industrial espionage (21%) and sabotage (17%) than their regional peers. Despite this, investment in security is rising:

  • 72% plan to increase physical security budgets
  • 52% prioritize process optimization
  • 52% aim to upgrade infrastructure and technology

Global investors echo these concerns, with 63% warning that a major security breach could erase up to 32% of a company’s market value.

Sanjay Verma, G4S Regional President for APAC and the Middle East, emphasized the region’s focus on integrated solutions and human-centered innovation: “Preparedness and innovation are defining strengths of corporate security in the Middle East.
