SNGPL Reports Record Profits and Dividend Amid Strong Performance in FY 2023-24

 

 
Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has achieved its highest-ever profitability for FY 2023-24, with a profit before tax reaching Rs. 30 billion and a profit after tax of Rs. 19 billion—a remarkable increase from the Rs. 10.6 billion recorded in the previous fiscal year. The Earnings Per Share (EPS) surged to Rs. 29.92, reflecting the company’s strong financial health.

Following this milestone, the Board of Directors has recommended a final cash dividend of Rs. 7.50 per share (75%), further underscoring the company’s commitment to shareholder value. The board praised the management’s strategic efforts, particularly in reducing Unaccounted for Gas (UFG) losses to 4.93%, the lowest in eighteen years.

Despite global economic challenges and market uncertainties, SNGPL demonstrated resilience and operational excellence, reinforcing its position in the industry. Chairman Ismail Qureshi extended appreciation to the company’s workforce and acknowledged the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division) for its support and guidance. Managing Director Amer Tufail emphasized that this success is a result of the collective efforts of the board, ministry, and dedicated staff.
