
IT Minister Umar Saif Announces BrightStart Program to Fund and Boost Pakistani Startups
IT Minister Umar Saif has introduced an exciting new initiative for Pakistani startups aiming for global success. Named the BrightStart program, this initiative is designed to support 100 startups each year, enabling them to join some of the top 40 global incubator and accelerator programs.
Inspired by the success stories of startups from renowned programs like YCombinator and 500 Startups, the BrightStart program aims to address the challenge of limited resources. Selected startups will receive up to Rs 5 million to cover expenses such as travel and accommodation while participating in these international programs.
The primary goal of the BrightStart program is to accelerate the growth of Pakistani startups by providing access to advanced ecosystems and funding opportunities abroad. This initiative is set to empower local entrepreneurs, allowing them to scale their businesses and achieve global recognition.
