
Honda Pakistan's Profit Skyrockets to Rs. 566 Million in Just Three Months
Honda Atlas Cars (Pakistan) Limited (HCAR) reported a remarkable profit of Rs. 566.4 million for the quarter ending December 31, 2024. This represents a significant 295% increase compared to Rs. 143.3 million in the same quarter last year.
The company's earnings per share also saw a substantial rise, reaching Rs. 3.97, up from Rs. 1 in the previous year. This impressive growth in profits was primarily driven by a 44% increase in sales, which amounted to Rs. 17.85 billion, compared to Rs. 12.43 billion during the same period last year.
Despite a 42% rise in the cost of sales, HCAR's gross profit surged nearly 60%, reaching Rs. 1.64 billion. Consequently, the company's gross margins improved to 9.2%, up from 8.3% in the previous year.
This strong financial performance underscores HCAR's ability to manage costs and boost sales despite challenges. The company's success in achieving higher margins and profits is a positive indicator for its shareholders and reflects its robust market position.
