Government to Refund Rs. 40,000 to Last Year's Hajj Pilgrims

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced that pilgrims who performed Hajj last year will receive a refund of approximately Rs. 40,000. The exact refund amount may vary slightly based on the travel category of the pilgrim.

Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain provided this update, emphasizing the government's commitment to enhancing facilities for pilgrims in the upcoming Hajj season while maintaining last year's costs. He mentioned significant improvements in Mina's accommodations, where pilgrims will now stay in air-conditioned gypsum accommodations instead of the previously provided tents with air coolers, ensuring greater comfort.

Additionally, similar to last year, meals will be delivered directly to the pilgrims’ residences to enhance convenience. The government aims to make the pilgrimage experience more comfortable and hassle-free for all participants this year.
