Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman Rashid Mahmood Langrial has clarified that no additional taxes will be imposed on solar panel imports, reaffirming that there is no proposal to raise the current tax rate.

In a positive development, teachers will receive a 25% income tax rebate starting next fiscal year, offering significant financial relief. For the current year, eligible individuals will either receive a refund or an adjustment under the same rebate policy.

Additionally, FBR continues to work alongside the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to explore tax relief options for the salaried class, with further discussions underway to extend support to other economic sectors.
