Authorities in Quetta have shut down an illicit factory producing fake versions of popular soft drinks like Coca-Cola, Sting, Sprite, Mountain Dew, and Fanta. The Balochistan Food Authority (BFA) raided the facility on Kachi Baig Kumbarani Road, seizing thousands of liters of substandard beverages, along with branding materials, empty bottles, and bottling equipment.

The counterfeit products were being distributed across multiple districts, posing serious health risks. Legal action is underway against the factory owners, and the site has been sealed.

BFA Director-General Waqar Khurshid Alam stated that strict action will continue against those endangering public health, especially in the wake of recent food safety violations in Islamabad. Citizens are urged to stay alert and report suspicious products to help safeguard public safety.
