Air Travel Resumes in Key Pakistani Cities After Recent Indian Strikes

Airspace over major cities like Lahore and Karachi has been reopened by the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority, following a 48-hour closure. This disruption was a consequence of the deadly Indian attacks that impacted several Pakistani cities last night.

Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) has been officially issued, signaling the resumption of flight operations into and out of these urban centers. Nevertheless, passengers are strongly advised to maintain close contact with their respective airlines for the latest updates, as flight schedules may still be subject to adjustments due to the prevailing circumstances. Airlines will make independent decisions regarding flight paths and timings, prioritizing safety evaluations.

The recent Indian strikes, which occurred on Tuesday night, targeted multiple locations across Pakistan, prompting a nationwide heightened state of alert. According to the Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmad Sharif, these attacks tragically resulted in the loss of 26 innocent Pakistani civilian lives, with an additional 46 individuals sustaining injuries.

During a press briefing, the DG ISPR further disclosed that Mosque Bilal, situated near Muzaffarabad, was among the targeted sites, leading to three casualties. Authorities are urging travelers to stay informed through official channels for the most current information as the situation continues to unfold.
