1.9 Million Digital Payments Made Under Ramadan Relief Package

Pakistan has achieved a remarkable milestone in its journey toward digital transformation, with 1.9 million digital payments successfully processed under the Ramadan Relief Package 2025.
This year, the package introduced a groundbreaking digital wallet system, simplifying the distribution of funds to beneficiaries across the country, including Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir. During a high-level review meeting, the Prime Minister was informed that 951,191 digital wallets were utilized for transparent and efficient fund transfers.
The inclusivity of this initiative stands out, with 823,653 women and 2,541 individuals with disabilities benefiting from the system. To ensure mass awareness, an extensive outreach campaign was conducted, involving 6.2 million robocalls, 178,700 outbound calls, and 6.1 million SMS messages dispatched by banks and partner organizations.
The Prime Minister commended the transparency of the program and emphasized addressing any complaints to refine future relief initiatives. He further stressed the importance of implementing this model across other government schemes to boost their efficiency.
The meeting was attended by prominent officials, including key federal ministers and representatives from the State Bank of Pakistan, BISP, PTA, NADRA, and private-sector collaborators, all of whom contributed to the program's success.
